Snake Wont use heat pad and isn't moving much

She's an adult female and hasn't been moving much for about a month or so.
Ever since the day i got her she has never gone over her heat pad and only basked under her heat lamp she avoids her heat pad as much as she can. She has always been adventurous she has gotten darker so i thought possibly she's shedding but i would have expected her to shed right now. I'm very worried about her she has had about 5-7 feedings with me and looks very healthy and hasn't shed once with me. Any help/advice or can tell me what's going on would really help btw could it be because of breeding season and all?

Unless the ambient air is extremely cold, you really shouldn't need a heat pad AND a lamp. One or the other would suffice, but I recommend the heat pad.

If she's had 5-7 successful feedings with you, then I don't think there's anything to be worried about. If she was regurgitating or refusing meals, then I'd be worried about her not going on the heat pad.

How long have you had her? Adult corns don't shed very often.

Dec. 9th and my house is pretty cold about 60 now because of winter

If you have the heat pad and lamp on controllers (most will get too hot for a Corn unless controlled) then they will stay the same temperature all year round. The temperature of your room doesn't matter. That's the point of providing heating in the tank.

Hatchlings shed about once every 4-6 weeks and adults 3-5 times a year. My adults tend not to often during winter.

Are you monitoring and regulating the temperature of that heating pad?

As bitsy said, you really don't need both a heat lamp and a UTH; and the UTH is the
preferred method of supplying heat to corns.

However, unregulated those pads can easily top 120 F -- if it's way too hot that might explain why she's not wanting to go near it.

The heat pad is reaching 85 on the glass and 80 on bedding and on the cold side it's below 60 because that is the lowest temp gauge goes. So i put a lamp on the cold side and it reaches the 70's, i don't have the heat pad and the lamp in the same spot. I replaced her heating pad and she is using it more often. As the not moving often i check on her this morning and she is going into shed, her eyes are blue and very dull and just now she cleared up so she should shed any time now. I'm pretty excited i hope it heightens her activity
