New snake shedding

So I recently got a new corn snake she arrived on Wednesday and I noticed yesterday morning that her eyes are blued over. So I have read that I should skip her meal until after she sheds. I haven't tried feeding her yet or handled her yet as I was trying to let her get used to her new surroundings and get over the trauma of being shipped. So should I just provide her with the wet hide and allow her to finish her shed cycle before I attempt to feed her or handle her?

not a wet hide, a damp hide. And you don't need the damp hide unless your humidity is below 50% during shed.

just place a little sphagnum moss in the hide that has been dampened with water. Squeeze out the excess. You don't really want it to be too wet.

Yes I apologize for not being more specific a damp hide is what I had in mind. I bought some spangum Moss yesterday should I put some moist Moss in the hide she has been in for the last couple days.

Not to be pedantic, but most of us do just refer to it as a "wet hide."

Hi and welcome. :wavey:

very interesting if you say so. In searching the forum for "Wet" no results appear, but as searching the forum for "Damp" a bezillion results are returned. But who cares right?

If I was to instruct somebody to create a "Wet Hide" they might fill a bowl with water and place a box over it. On the other hand if I told them to create a damp hide, then it makes it a little more clear.

I guess the "Us" you refer to in your above post are the 4 of you that like to gang up on me and find fault with everything I post. In reality, if the Majority of Forum Users referred to it as "wet" it might show up in the searches.
