Albino 6 Year Old Striped Butter Acting Weird

Nope, he wasn't dropped, there wasn't any spraying of toxic perfumes and when I clean half bleach half water and then rinse with half dish soap and water and I wash liners with laundry detergent and rinse 4 or 5 times. Must be him being an albino

I just can't imagine that the albinism is causing it. The amel gene was the first gene to be discovered and reproduced in corn snakes, so there have been so so many cases of amel based snakes living long healthy lives. I also have a butter stripe, with no issues whatsoever, who is 4 years old. I have also had and have a variety of amel based morphs with no issues.

Well I don't know what else my other snakes don't do this and are fine. I have had a fluorescent albino female who didn't make it past a year and two salmon corns didn't make past being an babies

Hi there!! Your snake really is gorgeous and I hope he pulls through. Have you considered helping him eat? I have a snake who has an odd neurological thing, and he can not eat on his own and has to be forced assisted to feed. It does not stress him, but he lacks a brain. Snakes with functional brains may be stressed by it but its better than starving; maybe an assisted feed would work? How is his behavior, other than what you describe?

I also do not think it is the albinism on its own...I had a albino corn snake who died when he was 14 years old.

It is still the same my breeder thinks trauma to spine or nerve damage. He won't go into his hide box by himself

Is it possible that he has gotten overheated at any point? I believe that can cause neurological damage.

Texas Jack had cancer of the spine his body was already slowing down I had him put to sleep today
