Upgraded Izzy's cage from 20L to 40 gallon breeder

I think our gal needs more room to stretch out. Her 20L has served us well but time for more room. A 40 breeder while twice the volume offers just 80% more floor space, a fair trade for the extra height.

First pic is her new 40. Still needs a backdrop and maybe another plant.

Second pic is her old 20L tank.

Third pic shows how the tank slides forward for easy access plus the vine comes up with the top.

Fourth pic Izzy climbing and stretching out (actually looking for dinner).

Fifth pic I use a standard 40 or 60 watt incandescent for the daylight side and a 25 watt moon glo bulb in the evening. The bulb on one side creates a 3-5 degree temperature difference from end to end.

Or not, where's the edit button?

I used simple hardware store hinges and locks. I used JB Weld to glue them all in place. The blue painters tape on the hinges proved unnecessary. Don't forget to sand everything first for good adhesion. I didn't and had to redo them all. Most importantly don't let your spouse leave town with your SUV when you have something big to haul.
