Exo Terra Jungle Vines

CornNoobie

No longer a Noobie!
Been on a trip to a new reptile shop today, and purchased some medium exo terra jungle vines, although its a bit too big for my tank at the minute, might have to wait till I get my new big one before I install it. But just out of curiosity, how do you all fix yours in your tanks? Do you just bend it and it stays in place, or use suction caps, or anything else? Thanks! :)

I think suction cups are a pretty popular solution although I think it might depend on your corn as some seem to love pulling suction cups off.

heh I use suction cups bit i used silicon to adhere them to the glass. but the vines i attached using baggies ties for the one set of suction cups. the other set is more for an aquarium and has a loop attached so the vine just hooks into that. i'll try to post a pic.

the suction cup setup

here are pics of the suction cups. first two pics are in my ghost corns tank. I chose larger stronger cups as he is a heavy guy.

hope this helps give you an idea.

your welcome. post pics when you get your set up. just for reference, the big suction cups I purchased in walmart in the bird feeder section. It came with a metal rod to hold a feeder, and it cost me about 3 dollars. the black suction cups I bought in pet supplies plus (only big chain by me at the moment, but petsmart is opening a store in november yeah). there are two in a bag and its around 2 dollars.

i use that jungle vine stuff but i dont use suction cups because my carolina corn is only about a year and my black motley is about 9 or 10 months. But when they get bigger and heavier ill need to get suction cups. Good luck with whatever you get and do.

i just bend it up and throw it in ther works but mine is invisible shes gone atm lost snakey gettin a nother ghost tho so

bumping this thread.. for cornnoobie and anyone else that needs it:

I found some more suction cups with rings attached from LLLReptiles

Hope this helps anyone. :D I just wonder where the heck these things were when I was looking like crazy for them!?!

Thankyou for that, thats very good of you :)

After hearing your advice, I went on a little trip into town looking for them! I was lucky enough to find a small hardware shop that had a packet of 24 suction caps, all with yellow plastic hooks attached (but these are removable so will be fine), all for just £1!!! Thats about $2!!! I cant complain with that!!! :)

Be careful with twist-ties that have the metal wire in them... they could hurt your snakes.
