Hi Paul :wavey: welcome to the forum!

I look forward to hearing about and seeing your snake when you get one! If you have any questions, this is the place to ask! There are lots of helpful people here.

I already have some questionif I can just ask you

I ahve a viv that was previously used to house a young bearded dragon it is 18" long, 12" and 12" deep will this be too big as I know that they are scared of large areas

Which is the best time to feed in the day or at night and please can you post some links so I can have a look at different colours please

No, it will be fine as long as you give your snake plenty of places to hide and offer it a warm side and a cool side.

I don't know if there is a "best" time. Most corn snakes are gonna be more active at night. I generally feed mine around 5 pm. But that is cause that is when I am often getting home from work.

Thanks alot

Here is a link to SerpenCo, they have lots of pics and descriptions for different morphs:

As "pedistrian" as they might seem, I think the Normal or Classic corn snake is one of the most pretty. My first one is a petstore normal and I think she's beautiful. I didn't see one listed on the site that Janine linked to. Amel and Anery are some of the first available morphs, and they have them both available for the same price. I, given my recent purchase history, am clearly biased towards Anery. http://www.crystalpalacereptiles.com/proddetail.php?prod=AnnaCorn07

If you're interested in breeding, you can learn a lot and see how things work first hand by getting both an amel and an anery (er... opposite sexes, of course!!) and mating them. If the parents have no other hets, NONE of the babies will look like either parent (they'll all be normal looking). But if you mate the babies together, you'll get a variety of amel, anery, and snow (both anery and amel).

Again, these are all 'low end' in the morph game, but who cares, really?

Have fun and enjoy your snake!
