Hello i was just wondering if this was normal my baby has to hides he can go to and during the day he mainly just stays in one of them all day and at night he comes out for about 10 minutes then goes back into one of the hides hes never out wandering around or anything like that is this normal?
 
Sometimes it does, but it really does depend on the personality of the snake, some are just shyer than others.
 
Mine has been doing the same thing for the past two weeks. I never get to see him anymore. :(

When I first got him he was out and about exploring his viv a lot but now the only time I see him is if I happen to catch him going from one hide to another. And incidentally, he IS very shy. Anytime I handle him he's on a mission to get away and go hide.
 
my corn snake is about there months and now he is doing the same thing he hides under his water bowl the only time i see him is when i handel him or when i feed him he finds his way under the water bowl by going under the substrate is this normal

well i noticed that with my corns, when i first got them. they room around it seems to get a feel for the area, then when they get use to it the relax. im up like 2am and i check on my corns and there normally out that time siting on there hide or something

Yep, that sounds about right, seems to be the case with mine too anyway. I am up right now at 2:45 AM and Flash is out and about in his viv, looking for a way out, as he did when I first got him. So apparently he's just behaving like a typical corn snake, hiding during the day and out looking for a way out of the viv at night.
