Huge Rattle Snake

Squeaker

My--YoYo
Holy Cow......My son cleans pools and he called me to tell me that he captured a rattle snake that was by the back of his truck. Lots of children were playing in the area and he didn't want it to get bitten. He put it in a container and brought it to my house as I live in the booneys. He thought that he could find a place out here, to release it. I didn't think that it was a good idea so I called the Animal Control. They came about an hour later to pick him up and boy was he mad, by the time they got here. The rattler was going constantly and he was extremely ticked off. I never realized how mean they look and I had never heard the rattle of one. I now know what to watch for. Wooo Weee. He was 8 years old and in extremely good condition. I asked the AC, what they do with them and I was very thankful to know that we have a wildlife reserve that they take them to and release them back out in to nature. That made me very happy. Oh my, he was ugly. He surely just wanted to go home. Just thought I would share my story

Awesome story:dancer:....
You can dine out on that one for a few weeks;)

The first time I hard one rattle for real, I thought 'that sounds exactly like a cowboy film'

The rattle snake could've been bitten??? lol...j/k..I know what ya mean..But cool story..That was brave of him to catch the rattle snake as that could have been dangerous. I'm glad it's going back into a nice forest where it won't come in direct contact with children and people..

Try this one on for size, 9'1" and 97 lbs!

I was coincidentally looking up world records yesterday!

He was 8 years old

How did you figure that one out? If it was by counting the rattles then I suggest you break the rattle in half and make him younger so he can live longer...... :sidestep:

Good job on releasing it. Most people make rattlesnakes have a date with a shovel. I'm glad it was put back into the environment....just away from people this time.
