Quick question..

mynamesrick

I REP VW
i want to order some mice online because i'm tired of paying 10$ for 6 mice at the local pet store. i only have one snake (so far) and i was wondering how long my snake would be on fuzzies for. he's about 29g and he just started on fuzzies. the reason im asking is because i dont want to order to many and end up not having any use for the extras.

thanks

I don't blame ya, the prices at the pet store for rodents is ridiculous! I pay $10 a rat! theives. anyway, to your question. If he just started on fuzzies you should be okay for a while. and even if you do get extra fuzzies you can increase him to two at a time and increase the time between feedings by a few days. That's what I did with my girl when she was growing soo fast it was hard to get a fix on the right size mouse for her.

Rick,
Have you tried Leaping Lizards in Burnsville? Prices are way better than petco and petsmart.
Jill is the best and she will help you out.
The phone number and address is on the site.

also, thought I would mention americanrodent.com because of you living in Mn, depending on how many you plan to order... if you order $100 worth then shipping is free. I have been ordering from them for some months now, many different sizes, mice and rats and have been pretty pleased with the quality. The only bad thing I can think of is that they dont come vacuum packed but I bought a inexpesive vacuum sealer at walmart so I can repack in the sizes I want to use first, second, etc. They are also really great to deal with and if you do have a problem, they get back to you Right Away and always make things perfect. Just thought I would give them a mention since I have had such good luck with them :) Plus, for me, its sometimes a pain to have to try to get to a store before they are closed.... this way they are shipped out on mondays and are always here waiting for me when I get home. Always still frozen and well insulated :)

thank you all for the help!

ill probably give that place a visit sometime soon, does she breed her own corn snakes?

She does breed her own snakes, she has ball pythons, dumerials, Corns, Bearded dragons and leopard Geckos. She is a very nice small shop and its only 10 minutes away from you on 35W.
