That will never happen in America

I know that there are a bunch of folks posting names of those they'd support in the 2012 elections. I also know most of them are posted in jest.

The thing is, we need candidates that will be able to WIN. Let me give you an example...

A few years ago, I lived in California ( I moved because I quit my job and a job opening came up here in AZ where I could work with my brother). During one of the elections, the choices were Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Cruz Bustamante and Tom McClintock. At the time, it became very apparent that Cruz Bustamante would beat McClintock, but Arnold would have a fair shot at beating Bustamante - which he eventually did. So, on election day, I sat there thinking... I really want to vote for McClintock, but he can't win (really, there was NO WAY it could happen), but there was a ground=swell of support for Arnold which showed him in the lead.

Needless to say, I voted for Arnold... the better (IMO) of the two candidates that COULD win because life for me under Bustamante would have been quite unbearable. Fortunately, Arnold did win although, I must say, he has proven to be pretty iffy as the "Governator".

However, in a 2012 election against an incumbent Obama, I don't think that any of the candidates suggested (jokingly or not) could win. Does anyone really think that MOST of the general population would vote for Nugent? for Hutchinson? KJ? I feel that unless we come up with qualified candidates, it isn't gonna happen... and 4 more years of tax and spend will need to be SURVIVED.

I know that there are lots of Independents on this forum as well. Who would the Independents put up that most of America would vote for? Republicans? I can't think of any qualified candidates, myself... so where does this leave us? I'm afraid it'll be 4 more years of our current administration.[/QUOTE

You also need to find someone squeaky clean, and expericanced, but not so expericanced that he can be percieved as "tainted"...someone who can go up against the media and come out on top......

Like Ted Nugent?

I've just always been inspired by his power as a public speaker.

That is why so many people follow him. "he inspires me" or "i like the way he talks"..

A comparison to Adolf Hitler is not only deplorable, but unacceptable.

Here we go with the personal attacks again... She was comparing that the germans were brainwashed the same way we are right now.. There was no reference made that Obama was going to kill Jews until YOU brought it up. The reference was that they were tricked into going along with an evil empire of control and power.. that is what i DONT want the US turning into. a socialistic nation.

I have to admit, over the years I have watched the political scene with amazement. I was a Republican (till 2001) but found I couldn't stomach the things they said or did anymore.

I do not call my self a republican. The blue-dogs and rhino's running it have turned the party something i don't want to be a part of. They don't share the values and don't stand for what they used to.
I call myself conservative because it says what it says. I don't want government in everything, nor do i want bailouts and all of that crap.

KJUN, you've always been an arrogant prick, but now you're showing just how much of a hypocrite and liar you are.

the description of KJUN was spot on.

KJUN, you are so arrogant it makes my skin crawl.

Michael and nova, why can we not say ANYTHING bad about you, but its "spot on" when you guys insult us? Hmm... what is that word i'm looking for..... it begins with hipoc..... hmmm....

I have to go to football practice so i will continue this post when i get back. I didn't get to all of the pages!!!

NUGE/LANDRY '12

I know Tom Landry isn't alive, but if Mad Max can run and isn't even real, then so can Landry.

That's too close sounding to Mary Landrieu. I can't WAIT to vote against that communist now that I'm back in LA. I hope she's for my area just so I can vote against her. If I'm not, I might move to be able to vote against her.

If the election is fair and unemployment is over 10%, I think Amerika might vote in the cookie monster if he was running against Obama.

Qualified candidates are too smart to run for president in today's age. We're left with 2nd rate garbage on either side.

I'm not from MN, so this is purely my own conjecture, but I think Ventura won there because he didn't speak "politico" nor hold his tongue or cower/play to the media. "Normal" people can appreciate this. I think Nugent would be similar. Thing is, he's probably too smart to run! I believe he toyed with the idea of governor of Michigan, but may be mistaken.

I love Ted Nugent...He is great. Texas is wanting to seceed from the union and make him our President AND secretary of defense....

I'll really have to look into Ted and his politics then... I had no idea that he was so popular.

So that leaves us with... Obama until 2016? Say it isn't so!!!

Ted Nugents Politics: Shoot Every stupid person. There, now you don't have to research :)

Actually, I'd like to change that. Ted's policy would more likely be shoot every violent criminal, thief, and other low life punk that are leeches on modern society. Shoot every person that wants to intrude on any of his - or a fellow humans- personal rights and liberties. ..and then shoot some animals to eat. Stupid people are OK as long as the "leave me the hell alone."

*Off Topic* I heard that Obama beleive that is a Child isn't a "human" until they can reason. Which is at two years old...and wants to *eventually* pass a law where you can "do away" with a "handicapped" child under two years old. Not sure how TRUE the second part is, just heard it from someone. But Obama DOES agree with the first part. Scary, huh?
