I just bought my 1st corn snake and I was wondering.....

Mr.RottenTreats

Mr.RottenTreats
if something is wrong with him.
He acts nice and alert and moves around when he's out of his cage, but as soon as you put him back he seems to just stay in one place and wont move for hours on end.
I was just wondering if that is normal.

Hatching I'm guessing you have.
It sounds normal.
Late at night you might want to check it out then..You might see it exploring the area but they do stay in one place for hours on end.

That's pretty normal for a Corn. Most Corns don't wander around their vivs much - especially after you feed them. You likely won't see them for several days while they're digesting.
I've noticed my Corn typically explores his viv during the evening and early in the morning. During the day, I rarely see him unless he's thirsty. :)

That's very normal for a young or old snake. In fact mine don't come out unless they're hungry or wondering what I'm doing.
