Gibraltar holiday

The next day we decided to walk across the airstrip, through the border into Spain to visit La Linea. After some shopping and some lunch I fell asleep on the beach. We had a wonderful evening meal of fresh seafood, much better than the food we'd had in Gib. The parasitic wasp I found here took ages to drag the spider it had paralysed through the grass.

The next day we went to La Linea again. I took these snaps whilst waiting for the bus into town. The 'blob' in the sky is a booted eagle. My camera memory was full so I only got cellphone pics of the wedding party with a carriage pulled by 2 andalusian stallions, so you'll have to take my word for how great a spectacle it was, with the beautiful horses and the throngs of wedding guests in their finery.

On our last day, we lazed by the pool for the morning, went into town for some shopping then explored further along the Eastern side of Gibraltar.
A wonderful holiday, I really had fun. I'm determined to upgrade my camera now, and will remember next time to take spare memory cards and batteries instead of leaving them at home on my dressing table :)dunce:)

Wow! More awesome pics! I love the macaques!!! What great shots of them.

The cave shots! NICE... I'm amazed they let you photograph them... here, "Flash Photography is Not Permitted".

Looks like an amazingly good time.

I'm used to seeing 'no flash' signs too, Fred, so that's the long-exposure natural light setting. There were people using flash, but I thought it can degrade the environment in there and was frowned upon?

Yeah... that's the speech we get when we visit Kartchner caverns or Carlsbad Caverns. I sometimes have my doubts about such things, but since I like to visit the caves, I gotta play by the rules. LOL.

I neglected to mention that the photos of you two are CUTE!!! :)
