Erica, trust me, Jenne is good peoples, I promise! You and her should just do the PMs for a bit and maybe even take Jenne's phone number and you can block your number and call her. That might help you feel a bit better about a "stranger". You are wise to be safe, I commend you for that! Find a way to get her "gift" to you. We are all here to help when we can. We actually send someone some flex watt heat tape once because she really needed it and couldnt get any on her end in time.

But us here at PJC Reptiles will vouch for Jenne!

Um...okay. BTW, my name is Emily, not Errica. My snake is Erricca.

I'm not sure about all this, I am new to the site and all. I'm not sure how I would receive the UTH's. I certainly couldn't from my adresss, my parents would question where they came from and how I paid for them. They would suspect I stole their credit cards or something...They would also be furious if they knew I shared my adress to a stranger.
 
Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to have you offer me the UTH's, but I don't want them if I am ripping someone off or making them loose money. I also don't want to be in hot water with my parents or give my adress or phone number to a stranger I have never met.
 
So tell them that you were offered one, and see if they have suggestions.

Given that this is WRITTEN HERE, you should be able to show this thread to them as an explanation.

Use some common sense, Emily. Tell your parents that you said that you couldn't get an under tank heater due to monetary constraints, and someone offered you one free. Talk to Jen, get her phone number, mayhap give it TO YOUR PARENTS, and work out the details.

They actually don't even know I am a part of a forum...They would be upset and make me get off if they knew. They are very superstisous about the internet. I guess I could get a P.O Box...do they cost money??

It probably won't be. She said they are stuck to plexi...so probably more like 12x12. What about a friend from school? Have it sent to them and they can bring it to you at school...

I don't have many of those cause I'm always so busy, and none of them would let me give out their adress. People around here are very "old timey" and don't like to just give out that info. None of us have P.O boxes really either. Its all personal adresses. I will think of something...
 
Ok, seriously peoples- Jenne appears to be AMAZING and Emily does not want the UTH and continually finds reasons she "can't or won't" help or do what she needs to do for her snakes. If she wanted it, she'd easily find a way to have the FREE UTH that Jenne has so generously offered (and had people vouch for her). I don't know why this thread isn't closed. I keep waiting for it to be and it just keeps going. I'm not a long time member just a semi-newbie looking at this thread objectively. We are wasting time on someone who clearly does not want help. There are many people who do want and will listen to the wisdom and guidance offered by cornsnakes.com- let's concentrate our efforts on them.

I want help wholovessnakes, but clearly you do not understand my situation. I am not giving excuses, but real issues that I have to get around somehow. You can believe me, or you don't have to. But these are real issues and problems. I am trying to find a way to get the UTH's.

If you are tired of this thread, do not read it. No one is forcing your finger onto the mouse button :D
 
If the ones being offered to you are too big, I have a couple of smaller UTH's I would be willing to send you. Same deal, no charge. I could probably even get them in a manila envelope. They wouldn't be stuck to plexiglass and no guarantee, but I think I could even throw in a rheostat, so you can control the temps.

Same deal as the previous! You don't need to feel that you are taking advantage of me, I would do it for anyone who needs it!

I will have to get a P.O. Box first... let me see how that goes. I ask my mom and she ask me if I was ordering "bad magazines" and told me that we would "talk about it."
 
I have a few UTH's I can send out to people. They are just sitting in my closet and I don't know anyone to give them to here in my state. Most of the people I know have rack systems like I do. I've put them on craigslist and no one has responded, so I'm more than happy to send them to anyone who needs one. I have about 8 or so. If Emily would like my phone number, I don't have a problem providing it to her, and suggest she have her parents call me as well.

Anyone besides Emily who like a UTH, please feel free to PM me, as I do have more than one!
