Ghosts and Cream Stripe

Everyone shed recently so I thought I might as well add a few new pictures of them.

This guy was on the move so I couldn't get very good shots of him, but you can see how much he's grown. I'm surprised he's so large for his age-hopefully he'll be a very big adult.

The female (still full from her last meal).

Here's my new striped creamsicle. I'm anxious to see her color intensify as she grows.

Wow, that's a really nice looking Ghost and exactly what my wife has been looking for. Maybe someone can help me (sorry, I'm very new to corn snakes as we own only a creamsicle as of now). Anyway, how would I explain this Ghost to someone? We've went and looked at a few "Ghosts" and they just don't look like this at all. The ones I've seen seem to be darker...almost like a charcoal. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you seen Jen's ghosts?

I love the look of these ghosts... are they the Guyer line ghosts? I think they are amazing. I am very interested to see how they turn out like as adults.

Nope, they're just nice examples (in my opinion anyway) from a ghost x ghost pairing that I picked up in a trade. I'd never even heard of Guyer line ghosts until a week or so ago and still have yet to see an adult example, so I'm not sure what all the hype is about concerning them. Maybe someone could fill me in?

As far as how these will look as adults, I'm hoping they'll take after their father. Here's a picture of him from the breeder.

Feel free to use these pictures as a reference if you want to check with breeders and see if theirs might look similar. Just a guess, but I suspect the difference you're noticing is the light background coloration on these two. They look nearly white in person, darkening to a very light silver coloration on the sides which contrasts well with the darker saddles. Ghosts are extremely variable in coloration, so you may just have to browse around a while before you find some you like. Keep in mind hatchlings don't look much like adults though-very translucent as hatchlings to the point that they can almost look like snows.

Wow... I would LOVE an adult ghost like that one! I have got to have me one of those!

I dont know anything about the Guyer ghosts, just that another member on here keeps calling them that, referring to the guy he got his from. Maybe they are from similar lines?

Good idea about the pictures....I'll do that. The ones I have been looking at are hatchlings and they are a lot darker than yours and we were real close to picking one up until I showed my wife pictures of yours....now of course, she wants one just like it which has been a hard task. Thanks again!

Those ghosts are gorgeous!! Love the contrast. I have a creamsicle stripe yearling, who is VERY pale yellow/orange, not in a bright sort of way, and she's still my favorite (for now!). Can't wait to see yours in a couple years!
