Cerise -- Bloodred Progression

Thanks, everyone! I can't believe how fast she's growing! Almost up to double pinks. -wipes tear- So proud.

Om nom nom!

Well, I weighed Cerise Saturday night just to see her progress and she came in at a whoppin' 17 grams! So, today at feeding time, she got her first ever meal of TWO PINKS. So proud! And she would have gladly had my finger for dessert! :grin01:

Pink #1, which she promptly tried to carry away...

Thanks for looking!

Knowing from where this beauty comes from and judging her red sides and some white markers ; I'm pretty shure this has/had someting to do with the pied sided gene . (ask Don for info about the parents if you don't know yet and let us/me know if I was close to it )

Succes with this PBR (pretty blood red )

You know, I had my suspicions after someone posted a "low expression" pied blood, but I certainly didn't know if they knew what they were talking about. She has some other little white bits further down, which I hadn't noticed so much on other Bloods. But I will certainly ask him if he can clarify and let you know! :}

Thanks for the lovely compliment, as well.

No, it was on another forum for another Bloodred. And I've just gotten confirmation from Don. You were right, she's a Pied Blood! Both parents were very pretty Pieds, but she's only showing low expression, hence my being able to afford her, lol!

So , the opposite is also possible , with a low expression pied you can have better ones .
You had a good deal on that .
Bloodreds from "pied lines" are really good on diffusion on their sides , that makes them so adorable and going the way bloods look really nice .

Gorgeous little bloodred!! Congrats on her being pied too! That's fantastic!! You know...I have a pretty pewter boy who is possible het pied sided that may want to meet her in a few years... ;)

Yes, so Don told me! And thank you! I find her quite the looker, myself. But then again, I'm biased! ;]

Freshly Shed & Fed

Well, Cerise finally shed today after what seemed like a millennium! I checked my records, but it was only 5 days long! I'm so impatient, lol! Anyways, she was several days past her normal feeding time, so I fed her tonight and snapped some pictures, too. I really hate how orangey the flash makes her look, but without it, the pictures come out blurry. :[
