Actually, I'm not certain. I got him from Christian, a fellow who runs a pet shop. He reported that the person who brought him in said "pewter motley." Hypo pewter motley? That would be interesting. I'll go take a look at Ian's Viv and see what I can see...thanks!

Thanks. I just don't understand some of his markings. He seems to have dark circles where other pewters either have light colors or no color difference at all. I wonder if that is the motley, or something else?

Hi! I was following the thread about grey snakes and I noted your post. You were wondering if your pewter was going to lighten? I have a pewter, or at least he is reported to be pewter motley. He is quite dark, with unusual markings - possibly motley. Do you have pictures of your pewter? It would be very helpful to see in comparison.
