I just adopted a 4 year old corn from a local shop. I am using a uth on the right of the tank. the left will be the cool side. I know they dont need a basking spot or lighting, but my house is cool and I think I need to raise the ambient temperature in the tank. I was thinking of putting a 40 or 50 watt basking bulb with a dimmer on it
to raise the temperature. I also wont put it directly over the spot where the uth is. I'll move it over a little to the left. (a zoo med rep told me not to put heat from the top and bottom together because it can cause heat build up). Does this sound ok? If not what else can I do because I do think I need to make it a little warmer in there. The inside of my house isnt too sunny either, so the light would be nice inside the tank. Thank you so much!
