    Robots Suck!

Is there anything that can be done to keep the robots from completely overrunning this site with posts that are not related to Corn Snakes?

    Helicopter Corn!

Nice to see a snake in the Florida news that was released unharmed :) https://www.newsweek.com/snake-tangled-tailwheel-helicopter-1871572

    Are Lavenders Lazy?

All 4 of the Lavenders I have (photo of one of my males [Ultramel Lavender Aztec; maybe Peach] for eye candy) are without a doubt the most inactive corns I have ever owned. They are seriously the "Ball Pythons" of my collection :). My sample size is quite small though, so I started wondering if...

    Let's talk about Leopard!

I'm curious if anyone can provide some info on "Leopard" Motleys... where the line originated, experiences with reproducing that look, etc... Thanks :)

    half & half!

Well this has got to be the weirdest damn thing I've seen in a while! :huh_01: https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles/colubrids/corn-snakes/1796161 Anybody else know of other examples of this in Corns (or snakes in general)? If Scaleless were gender determined (it's not of course :)), I'd...

    Tiger Mutation?

Does anyone out there have any detailed (or anecdotal) info on this thing that ECW and BHB Reptiles are calling "Tiger"? BHB is claiming is it a "new proven mutation of genetic striping pattern" (https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles/colubrids/corn-snakes/1546193). I'm interested if...

    Image Upload Criteria

Hi Rich, I just wanted to inquire about the image upload criteria. I also use Fauna Classifieds and despite the very similar look and function of that site and this one, it seems the image upload criteria are different, as I always end up needing to resize my photos so that this site will...

    Aztec - Female Yearling

She's a great little snake but I need space so I'm letting her go (in blue in first photo). Would make a great pet or addition to someone's breeding program. She has never refused a meal or had any issues whatsoever. Currently eating F/T fuzzies and weighs 84g. She's a Normal/Classic but is...

What is the deal with Cinder?!

I'm just curious if folks are interested in discussing Cinder, ...specifically, if anyone has opinions, or even better, evidence, that Cinder is in fact, incomplete dominant rather than recessive. This has been discussed in a couple places online previously, but I thought it might be interesting...

    Female Subadult Butter

SOLDSub-adult female Butter (Caramel+Amel) - 66% possible Het Strawberry, Anery, & Stripe. VERY chill girl... would make a fabulous pet, and also has the genetics to be a great addition to your breeding plans. Should be ready to breed next Spring if fed well. Hatched July, 2020 (currently 155...

    Are Motley/Stripe Hypo Morphs?

Most Motleys and Stripes I've seen lack any truly black coloration. Given that Motley/Stripe reduces black to such a degree in blotch borders and belly checkers, should it not be considered a hypomelanistic mutation? Kathy and Bill Love do touch on this topic briefly in their book, but I can't...

What is, and what is not a Zigzag?

Over the last year or so I have noticed a proliferation of corns for sale that are labeled as "ZigZag", or sometimes "Aztec", that do not to me personally, appear to fit that description (see attached photo). While I realize that this "morph" is line-bred, or perhaps polygenic, and thus it is...

    Re-pairing before second clutch?

Does anyone out there typically re-pair their females before the second clutch? Because corns can hold sperm for months (if not years), I have never bothered to re-pair my snakes after the first clutch of the season has been laid. When my females have had second clutches, those clutches have...

    Oyster Shell Hides!

Just discovered a great new hack! ...at least it is new to me :). OYSTER SHELLS! They are plentiful and free on most coasts in the USA, easy to disinfect by boiling, and serve as both hide (for hatchlings mostly unless you find really giant ones) and a rough spot for getting sheds started :)
