I guess all the hearts and flowers for Valentine decor were inspirational. Artephius and Avalon made sweet music last night. These two came from Serpenco. Since Avalon's a lovely butter girl who is het motley/het stripe (I never quite know what to call that to avoid confusion :shrugs:), I hope to find out if my handsome fellow is het for amel, stripe or motley. In any case, this pairing has some cool potentials for the F2's. I snapped the picture in a hurry on the way to school this morning, so it's not the best.

Thanks, Stephanie. I can see the resemblance - though I think Artephius is prettier! I fell in love with Rich's caramel bloods the first time I saw a picture of them. I was thrilled to get this guy and can't wait to get babies from him.

Heavens, I hadn't gotten as far as that yet! Not knowing either parents hets I'm really not sure what might be produced. All the hatchlings (assuming there ARE hatchlings, of course) may be basic caramel with cool hets. PM me if that interests you and we can discuss matters.

I'm only sorry you're not in Canada...I won't be able to get any of your babies *sniffles pathetically* I love, love , LOVE Artephius. If you had babies that looked like him....ooh or ended up with that colourinbut stripey? Delish!
 
Thanks, everyone. I'm totally charmed by Artephius. In addition to to his handsome looks, he's a real sweetie to handle. I'm SO looking forward to these babies, and it's fun to share that excitement.

The happy couple had a second breeding yesterday. I'll put them together once more in a couple of days. I'm still debating, but Artephius may be bred to one other female this year. (I have some '08 females growing up nicely who are on his schedule for next year, God & Mr. Murphy willing.)
