Hi I'm a new owner and have my tank set up for the most part, but I'm not sure about the arm side. I have aspen bedding which means heat transfer from and UTH isn't great, the glass of the tank reads between 85-90 but the bedding over the heat source reads 72-76. I was wondering what any of you did or if this is alright because I know they like to burrow into the aspen I've seen it in person lol.
 
That's fine. It only matters what the temp is in the middle of the UTH, right on the glass/plastic. The snake can burrow down to get the temp it likes. 90 is a little high for my taste, I personally would adjust it down so your max temp is 87-88.
