Weirdo corn...

carol

Down with the sickness
I don't think I will know what is going on with this corn until I can test breed her. Her mother is a Milksnake Phase Motley, and dad is a Milksnake Phase het Motley. This one doesn't really look like the other motleys or normals that came out of the clutch. I just wanted to share an updated pic.

Weird pattern, but still a very pretty animal. I love the tan coloring in your milksnake phases, Carol. Have you ever thought about breeding ambers into this line? I don't know if that would have any effect on them at all, but it seems like it could be a good thing.

I think it woud be fun to eventually add some different color schemes into the pattern. However, keep in mind these babies are only tan while they are young. As most of them get older, that tan color turns into either red or a strange, yet pretty, coral pinkish color. But there are always a few that stay tan. Here is a pick of the single offspring to come out of a Milksnake Phase Motley X Hypo Lav mix. As you can see, even though he is an "out cross" so to speak, he shows his heritage in his pattern. I would really like to see what they would do to ghosts or charcoal ghosts, since even the non-hypos have no black. I think it would be a really neat combo. I just have to wait for my charcoal and charcoal ghost to grow up. ;)

That is a pretty one, Carol. So how many generations of outcrossing would it take before you could really see new colors with the milksnake phase "look"? Or maybe that's too hard to predict...

That Lav X MilkMot is very nice! Too bad it is the only one, it'll take at least one more year to get the pattern in evenly. I'm really surprised at the MilkMot appearance it shows.

Thats a very nice looking snake there carol

I like the end part of it where it has this kind of twin spotted looks on her~

hope that the tan coloration stays for you~~

That's clearly a zipper gopher snake. ;)

Doh!...
Sorry guys, that was the wrong pic for the Hypo Lav X Milk Mot! I was tired, here is the real "out cross"....

Resurrecting the dead posts again lol

Is this the same line that ended up with VMS? I have been looking for information on them, but Sean doesn't have much. Wondering if anyone in this thread would know.
