Hi all, I'm Tim from Memphis, TN. I am new to the forum and don't even own a snake yet. The reason I joined here was to see if snake ownership is for me and so far I think it is. . . It's embarrassing, but up until the last few months I was borderline scared of them. But after seeing the beauty of these animals through the pics posted here, and reading stories of how dear these critters are to those of you who own them, I'm really getting excited about purchasing my first baby.

I'll do my best to hunt for answers before posting questions that have likely been answered thousands of times already - so please bear with me!

Hello & welcome! You can find quite a bit of info just by looking at the sticky threads at the top of each sub forum. Here is one that is great for most newbies to see, if you haven't already looked at it. It has most of the common terms used on this site.

Do you have an idea of what kind of morph you want yet? It is almost impossible to pick just one!

As for the morph - I'm sort of limited with my first snake to whatever Petco or Petsmart has in stock. I can't afford the price of a snake plus an average of $35 for shipping on top of the habitat costs.

My current offerings are babies that either pink in color with darker pink/red saddles or white with dark gray/black saddles. As for the 'morphs' - I don't know what they are. But they're all very handsome.

Pet stores usually have Snows, Amels, Anery A, Classic, Hypo & sometimes Ghosts. This site is really good for learning what the different morphs are. Corns usually change appearance quite a lot between baby & adult, so this site will let you see what the morphs look like at both stages.

When I first got interested in corns, it was really hard for me to figure out what the pet store had since they looked so different than the pictures (mostly of adults) that I'd been able to find. Hope that helps!
