From Ky here and just got my first snake today. Its a snow and about 8" long. I have been reading this forum for about 2weeks now , but Im sure I will have alot of questions , please be patient with me as they might sound stupid..I had read that you shouldnt handle them adter you bring them home for a couple of days.

Thats what I did this afternnon , even though it was hard not to. Its was very active at the pet store and hard to hold on to at the time. Seemed to be very alert and the lady at the store says that its eating very well.

Yaaay!!!!! Congrats on the first of many, i'm sure. You technically **shouldn't** handle when you bring them home, but I know I did. Haha, couldn't help myself. And my little amel seems none the worse for it. Just limit the handling as much as possible.

It got a name yet?

And be sure to post pics as soon as it gets settled in!!!
