Oh, just look at this cute li'l California Kingsnake who arrived from Captain's Colubrids today! He's a 12" string of tail-rattling, biting fury, I tell ya! Poor li'l scared worm :).

We shot a few pix of him before putting him in his new viv to acclimate. I am absolutely delighted by this little guy! I don't know why, but he just makes me smile every time I look at him :).

Cute _and_ pretty!! I bought the meanest hateling ever (Yggdrasil) from Joe, but he calmed down the instant he arrived home and was never a hateling again.
 
So fierce! I kind of miss my king (traded him for a pewter), may have to pick up another one of those!
 
I like kings, and I've wanted one that looks like this for quite awhile. I think he's going to be a much nicer snake than my MBK, who musks all the time, and my silly little AZ Mtn. King, who bites all the time! LOL! Kings just crack me up. Such characters :).
