Thre year old snow corn - Ark! Pictures and a couple of small questions. :)

This is Ark, my sons three year old snow corn. He is pretty wonderful and very easy. I think he is in shed right now but I am really not sure. Since getting my baby I have been paying more attention and wanted to post some pics and ask what you all think of Ark's weight. He has been on rats for a long time but I keep reading they are too fatty so I thought I'd get some more experienced input.

Also, I feel like his viv is so full. We can only fit two hides in with a water dish big enough for him to play in. Any thoughts on that? We are planning to enlarge it soon - any ideas where in Arizona to get a cheap 3 or 40 gallon tank? :)

Oh, and I have a mac so I can't use the snake measurement tool. Would anyone on a PC be willing to take a quick measurement of Ark, based on the photo with the red line labeled 8.75 inches?

Thanks for looking!

Risburg,

We love him and think he is quite wonderful. He has such an even temperament and was such an easy baby!

The measurement tool is a download here: http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/apps.html

Thanks, I really appreciate it if you get the chance to measure him! :)

Chris, thank you! :)

I found someone who could use the measurer - Ark is almost 51 inches! Who know a big scary FOUR FOOT PLUS snake could be such a cuddler!? ;)

He's gorgeous and HUGE!!! Congrats :D I hope you can find him a good big tank. I just moved my little '09 lavender into a 55 gallon tank (leftover from when my husband had turtles) and she loves it. I need to put more stuff in it though.

I am so glad to hear he is big! I have zero perspective so he just seems normal to me, whatever that means. :) I have set aside some cash to enlarge his living space so hopefully we can do that soon. I might wait until Novemberish - I think there is a reptile expo in Phoenix then. :)

Very handsome boy you have there but I do think he needs a tank upgrade :) As for his current tank looking crowded I would say it is a little bit but not enough that I think you should change anything. Keep in mind too you could always just build him a new enclosure. Here is a pic of the enclosure I built for my corns a while back.....well three of them :p I now have eight...... It wasnt really that hard to build, I got everything pre-cut at home depot and then just put it all together.

It looks awesome! We are really short on space so I'm not able to add any big furniture like that. For now we are just sticking with the glass vivs on topof low shelves. Once we get a bigger place I want more corns and something like that would be perfect! :)

Oh no I didnt mean make one big like mine :p In your post you said you wanted to upgrade to a 30 or 40 gallon tank, so you could get the dimensions of a 30 or 40 gal and make one :)
