Since all snakes are different, we need a bit more information. How long is it now? What size tank is it currently in? What is the current age of the snake?

Nobody can maker any kind of reasonable assessment of your snake's needs without a reasonable amount of informatoin...

Here's a little example: my snake is about 5 months old, is 17.5" in length and was just moved from a 10g to a 20g aquarium. In about a year, I will be switching over to a 30" long vivarium to give her enough room to move around. I also plan on picking up a couple '07 hatchlings when the time comes, and they will be housed in 10g aquariums until they are too big for them, at which point they, too, will be moved over to 30" long vivarums.

ok...How many centimeters in an inch? Your snake is 10 months old and 18cm. My snake is 5 months old an almost 18 inches. Do you see the problem here? :shrugs:

You need to bump to bigger food asap. That snake is undersized fo rit's age because you should be on fuzzies by now

Also...my snake is 5 months old and eats a fuzzy every 5-6 days.

This isn't getting any better for you. Are you sure your snake is a cornsnake?

It seems to me that 18cm and 1 pinky a week at 10 months old is NOT proper care for a cornsnake, nor is it average size. I think you need to read up on the basic care of cornsnakes befor you end up killing your emaciated, under weight and under size 10 month old corn...

Sone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, here...but isn't 18cm like 4 inches??? Am I wrong? Where's my darn metric conversion tables when I need them. Anyone got a ruler handy?

ok

My snake is about a foot and a half long. I feed him fat pinkies. I want to know when I can move the tank size up. Now I have learned I need to feed him more and more often. I will feed him 2 fat pinkies every 5-6 days... Is that good??? :)

sorry

I meant inches not centimeters! So Sorry!

18cm is 7 inches

So I wasn't THAT far off. Still ridiculously small.

Don't feed your corn 2 fat pinkies. Feed it 1 fat fuzzy, like it needs. Your snake is twice the age of mine, and almost the same size, if not smaller. You're definately doing something wrong, and it may end up killing your snake.

Do yourself and your snake a favor. READ the FAQ linked in my signature and figure out how to properly care for a cornsnake BEFORE you start breeding 2 headed babies and selling them cheap... :shrugs:

It sounds like you're making up things as we criticize you, like switching from 18 cm to 18 inches, and switching from a year to ten months old. noob.

...

The centimeter to an inch was a typo! 10 months is about a year! This one I swear I'm not lying about.

Hmmm...Is this a recording? Is my microphone on? Is there anybody out there?

Besides, it's real easy to see how "cm" could be mistaken for "in". I mean, afterall...they are so close to each other on the keyboard...

Have you weighed the snake? It's a better way to chart the growth if you get some digital scales (like kitchen scales) and weigh once a month. Then you have a good idea of how your snakes are growing.
If you can give a fuzzy instead of the pinkies, then weight for weight your snake is getting more calories to use to grow.
