Maizie, my amel princess...now & then

Cegninedorf

Twang'em into trees!
Here is Maizie, my pretty amel princess, who was my first corn snake ever. :) She's been a doll since day #1, as patient with me as I learned how to take care of corns...I couldn't have asked for a nicer snake with which to start learning! :)

Maizie, July '06...probably around 9 g...:)

Maizie, a year & half later, from earlier today...at around a Rubenesque 273 g! (I definitely have her on a bit of a diet...I've cut down her prey size, which she gets once a week...and was she snappy at getting it today!)

Maizie remains as sweet as ever, though...:wavey:

Thanks!

She is absolutely beautiful. My grandson has one that looks almost exactly like her, but a year older. I keep threatening to steal her when I am at my sons house to visit. She is the Mommy of the beautiful daughter that I have. Sooooo, pretty

u've got some healthy looking snakes!!how long would you say Maizie is now?

Thanks...as for Maizie's length, I have no idea...! I haven't really measured any of them, to be honest. Ballpark, between 2-3 feet, perhaps? :) I'll let you know when she's done digesting...:)

The first ones always hold a special place in our hearts :) She looks like she was a great introduction to the cornsnake world!

She is pretty, very orangey ;)
I'm surprised at still how bright & vibrant she is! She is indeed a pretty one...thanks!

What a pretty girlie! She's looking good and healthy!
Healthy -- not a joke! She's in running, as well, for thinking that she's a horse...girl could eat me out of house & home! Her loveliness makes up for it, all, though...thanks!

She is beautiful! It's so nice to still have your "first and favorite" baby!

I definitely have a special place in my heart for her! It was fun, those first couple of weeks, with me being as scared of her as she was of me. :) However, Maizie seemed to have understood & did her best to allow me to learn how to pick her up & not be afraid of biting. In fact, she was the first to also nab me: she latched on to my finger & instantaneously, let go, as if realizing that, "oh, oops -- I'm sorry!" Basically, she just mouthed me because I felt literally nothing at all, just the fact that something had touched me in passing. :) She's my sweet girl. Thanks!
