New to the website... wanting a cornsnake in OC.

Happy with this new hobby
Found this website the other day and read a lot of good posts. Decided to join even though I don't have a cornsnake YET (still trying to convince the other inhabitant of the house about owning a snake).
I have never had a snake before, but my fascination comes from my early teen years. Originally from Brazil (where it's against the law to own exotic animals), I grew up wanting a Ball Python. I changed my mind after seeing one Cornsnake in person. The moderate size and striking colors works perfect for me.
So now that I can legally purchase a snake I ran into another problem... I live with a person that does not share the same appreciation to these reptiles as I do, so I'm working on it. :fullauto:
MY favorite of all Corns are the Okeetee's, followed by the bloodreds varieties.
Let's see what happens. :santa:

Welcome to the site!

Introduce your roommate to this site and perhaps he/she will have a change of heart! Or maybe you two could go to a reptile show together.

Good luck getting your snake!

Welcome to the forums!
Try to find a petstore in the area that will let you hold the snakes, or find someone nearby with snakes you can handle. If you get someone to touch or hold a snake they are usually intrigued by the snake and may be "converted".
I'm sure there are exceptions and some people WILL NOT go into the same room with a snake, but it's worth a try.
