Susan, what a cutie! I love his gray sides! And those pretty eyes...that second picture is just too adorable. :)

What weight is he?

His colours and pattern are lovely, one of the nicest Miami Motleys i have seen. (and we seem to have seen a lot lately ;))

He's about 120 grams, give or take a couple of grams. And since he's a LBR Miami motley, all the credit for his looks goes to Carol.

I had kind of assumed it was from carol...

Is 120g the average sort of weight of your 07s?
Do you reckon to get an 07 of that size up to breeding size for spring 2010?

its kind of off topic, sorry.

Thanks

I don't mind the off-topic discussion.

I don't have too many '07s, but he is actually the largest and if I wanted to, I could technically be able to breed him in '09. I know he'll be more than large enough to breed in 2010, being a male. A female, however, may or may not be up to breeding weight in 2010. It would all depend upon how fast a grower she is. I have several '06 females that I plan on breeding this year. Some are definitely large enough being between 350 and 400+ grams, others are just now over 300 grams but should have no trouble breeding in the spring as they are not brumated and are being fed all winter. I have a couple more than I"m also feeding in hopes they'll be large enough for this spring. They are close at around 270 grams now, but I would like to see them larger. I don't push my snakes and don't mind waiting until the females are 4 years old before breeding. I personally have trouble imagining all these 600 gram or larger corns. The largest ones I've ever had are no more than 450-500 grams.

thank you, you answered every question with far more detail than i expected.

I am using a male who is ~160g at the moment to breed this spring so i will see how he does.

i also have a ~170g female who i was trying to decide if she would be breeding size for 2010.

thanks
