The babies look creamsicles to me - the coloration looks yellowy amelanistic. Can't really say anything about the parents. Do they both have pink eyes like amel corns? I assume those pics don't really show their true colours, do they?

Do not know gentics of parents. they could be a hypo canycane. They are really nice looking snakes so I could not pass them up. lol.The pics of adults do not do them justice. The babies are really pink. Here is a better pic of parents. thanks

The parents are really unique looking and beautiful, but I wouldn't expect a Hypo Candycane to look like that...although I've never seen one. If these were my snakes I'd suspect them to have some hybrid blood. But I'm no expert. :)

They are not hypo candy canes they look exactly like grey rat x corn intergrades.

Is that something that is common? I have never seen them before this pair. The colors really are like a maroon or a burnt orange on a pale white. I have been thinking all this time it has rat snake in it, but I was thinking albino or bubblegum rat.

***EDIT: I did a search and saw your pics on the other site that can't be mentioned on this site. I would now agree with you and these are lighter than yours.

Yeah,.I took one look at these pics and there is no way thats all corn..
there is Def. some (other) Rat snake genetics at work =):grin01:

Thanks everyone I did finally find a pic of one exactlly like them. They are frosted creamsicles(E. guttata guttata X E. obsoleta spiloides). Thanks Jason

Grey rat x Corn are fairly common some breeders just label them as bubblegums when they include amel which started at Black Rat mixes but now can include Yellow rats, Everglades or any mix there of but most still consider them frosteds. They are some nice looking snakes and congrats on the hatchlings.

The definitions should tell a different tale and creamsicle shouldn't be applied. See what I mean...........
Creamsicle Corn Snake
Elaphe guttata guttata x emoryi
"Soft" orange markings on a yellow or light orange background.

Creamsicle Corn Snake (Frosted)
E. guttata guttata X E. obsoleta spiloides
This creamsicle has more of an open marking and a white or yellow speckling that gives it a frosted appearance. It is reportedly a cross of the amelanistic corn and the gray rat snake.

Creamsicle Corn Snake (Yellow)
Elaphe guttata guttata x emoryi
Yellow markings on a yellow background like the Butter corn, but ours have Emory's blood in them. Very large hatchlings.

The above descriptions came from: http://www.reptileallsorts.co/cornphase/

Nope, I don't understand. The definitions were from South Mountain. And Frosted Creamsicle is accurate if there is emory in the mix.

Frosted Corn Baby UPDATE

Hey guys,
All of our babies have shed and 1 has ate. I thought I'd share pics of them. The pics are without flash and are in natural light. 2 look just alike, but the other 2---- WOW--- you will be able to pick them out easy. One has a lot of white in it and is just amazing looking. And the other one (the runt) has a lot of red contrast and is much darker than the rest. I have not sexed them yet. Hope you enjoy the pics. Let me know what you think. Thanks for all the comments also. Tiffany
