And that is one excellent camera. What kind is it? Not that I'd know what it is but just for future reference.
As I've heard Clint say, "it's all the camera." I finally understand what he means.
Really, all I did was put it in macro mode (which lets it focus from as close as 2.5 inches away) and snap the pic. The camera (Fuji FinePix 2800 Zoom, got it for $300 on sale.) does all the important stuff.
It helps that the little guy posed just so pretty for me, too.

She has such gorgeous eyes, I too am getting an anery in august, and I can't wait. You take such defined and detailed pictures. You should be proud she's a lovely snake.
