He shed a few minutes ago, so we can start the progression thread. For all of you who don't know the development of Kastanies/Chestnuts, prepare for an impressive colour change! You should keep a wary eye on this thread :grin01:
As you can see, they look very similar to ordinary Anerys when they are hatchlings. Only the soft orange line in the neck disclose the different genetics. Interestingly, it seems there's a gender dimorphism similar to Lavenders. Only the males hatch with a very soft tone of orange in the neck, the females show less colour as hatchling, but when they grew up, they become pretty similar to the males.
