Who knows what on earth I will see in frutation form the Mystery outcross project ( Rich Hume ).. Weird.. Anyone gets these, they will have a kitchen sink plus..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

that might be a hypo lavender/charcoal or a charcoal gohst. I would say It looks like triple homo for hypo, lavender, charcoal

Vinny... From a Caramel to Caramel breeding? I'm confused as to your logic.

Beautiful little ones!

you do know that mystery project animals all started here. There is anery B in the mix. it all started with a amber crossed to a hypo lavender blood red. Now the HLB was carring the anery B gene and I dont know which was carring the amel gene. I got 1/3 normal babies and 2/3 hypo . Every baby was PH for amel and Anery B (charcoal )

so it maybe homo for 4 genes and being caramel gene is so light it can be masked by the lavender and charcoal

Right... My POINT, Vinny, is that you can't get JUST a charcoal ghost or hypolavcharcoal out of a caramel to caramel breeding.... and since caramel does weird things combined with anery/charcoal/etc, it's hard to tell WHAT it is... but it HAS to be caramel!

not that simple I have seen snow to snow and all the young were amel. same with hypo to hypo some times you dont get the mutation even though both parents are homo for that gene. none the less this is a good buy. that creamy lavender colored animal is worth 200 bucks just buy itself

Basic Mendelian genetics says otherwise, they are simple recessive genes.

Debate!

LOL,
Yes, they Have to be Homo Carmel.
I probably should keep them Just to see what that one looks like, which I would if it were a male. I suppose I could breed the male carmel to the strange female and hope for more strange ones!......:grin01:

I got this...
LunaH2009-08-10_4.JPG

five males, all the same color, all with the weird head pattern, from crossing ghost x lavender mot. Who knows what was in the mix? I should've gotten all normals, but hidden hets made these pop out. Still don't know if they're ghosts or lavenders... So even breeding caramel x caramel, if the right genes are in both parents, odd things can--and DO--pop out.

Odd things can pop out for sure, but that still doesn't change the fact that they would be homozygous for caramel. The reason they would be odd is because of those hidden hets. That is pretty wicked looking.

Bump Sale!

Ok this trio 1.2 I will give for 300 shipped !!!
These babys will eat F/T pinky right out of your hand and what ever the one female is (two forms of Hypo) is really looking awesome!
Whoever gets these will be impressed !
Just about any morph type can come out of these!
