2 Corns Together?

I definatley agree 1000000% that you should never ever house hatchlings together, although people say corns will eat each other (and we have all seen the pics to prove it) the trouble is that hatchlings move around much more and disrupte each others sleeping/eating/etc patterns. And you end up with no one eating etc.

Thanks.

I know you said that its not a good idea to house hatchlings together but If I put 2 or 3 hatclings in a 1 1/2ft or 2ft tubberware contianer, would this be ok since they will have quite a bit of room???

Cheers

Alex

No it doesn't make a differance. Its not a space issue, its a natural behaviour issue.

Snakes (with a few exceptions) are SOLITARY creatures.

sol·i·tar·y:
Existing, living, or going without others; alone: a solitary traveler.

There is no reason to hosue them together! Go buy another rubbermaid or tank or don't have more snakes than you can house alone. Period. Its so simple that I can't believe this topic is debated so much. If you would like more proof maybe the well known member Simon will post his recent photos. They are of a hatchling that has eaten another hatchling.

Bmm, there is no need get worked up about this, I was just asking. That is what this Forum as made for right? (Asking questions and getting answers).
BTW I do know what Solitary means and Trust me, I do have the space and contaners to hold 50 Hatcling, I was just asking.

Worked up? LOL. I only mentioend the word "solitary" and it's description in every post above this one, so I figured if people still weren't understanding that (hence your question), a definition would help.

Bmm,
The reason it is debated so much is because some reputable people over here believe that you can keep corns together. Hell, until the other day I didn't even know that you couldn't feed iguanas animal protein (but obviously I don't keep iggys so it's not an issue).
This topic (housing together) will keep on being debated until people over here realise that you shouldn't house together. Simple as.

Umm the many corns per viv argument will go on and on and on , as people who dont have the space try to convince themselves thats its ok. Just like people convince themselves that cats and dogs cant stay in the "cold". The basic line is all of us are ignorant about something and the same questions will keep getting asked .......from my point of view its a good thing after all we corn snake - aholics need people to ramble on to about or fasinating and amazing hobbies :D

Lol, I think it's my dog that's convinced herself that she can't stay out in the cold. She won't even sit down properly on a cold pavement! She is a greyhound (lurcher) though so thin skin.

Not cornsnake related i know so how about I GET MY NEW SNAkE IN HALF AN HOUR!!!!! :D :D :D
