thx pontus:)

hello

Three weeks is o.k.....but you could safely handle him three days after his first feeding with you.

I would not touch him at all until he has been feeding for you.

Sitting on top of the hide is fine! 83 is fine! :) He just likes it there!

good luck

I handled my corn about 4 days after getting him (he was fed theday I got him) ... 3 weeks later he's tame

Your snake needs a little time to settle in his new surroundings. I would wait until your snake is to be fed before I handle him. As I always feed the snakes outside there normal tanks, I have to handle them to get them to the feeding tank that I use. I do this for two reasons. Firstly the snake is less lightly to object to being handled if it learns that it gets fed outside his normal tank and secondly the snake has no danger of any substrate being swollowed accidentally while feeding. (There is no substate in the feeding tank)

thx guys for the help. he feed last night and he seems fine. i will start to handle him the next feeding time.

good

If he ate once for you, you are on your way. He most likely won't ever stop eating now *L*

As corns get bigger they seem to use hides less and less and enjoy sitting out in the open like your young one. He is just laid back! :)

YOu can proabably hold your corn 4 hours after it eats.

Your temp is fine.

Your corn is just checking the place out.

I hope this is a typo! You shoudn't hold it for at least 48 hours after feeding, unless you're just returning it to the cage from feeding in a seperate container - I return them as soon as they finish, or a couple minutes after.
