2 Young Okeetees

The first set of pics are of Roger, my male Abbott's from SMR. The second set is Venus, my Kathy Love Okeetee from Cornutopia. In one of the Venus pics you can see her nuzzling my knuckle. I must have had a little left-over prey scent on me, because she was doing the old face-press test into my thumb, knuckles, and other parts of my hand.

Venus has some awesome borders, she is going to be a stunning lady :). Roger is looking pretty handsome himself.

Gorgeous okees!

I'm a little sad about the phenotypical quality of the only corn that was offered as an Okeetee on a small reptile fair this weekend; your guys would laugh your head off seeing it with that label... sigh, sometimes I wish I lived in the States...

Thanks Traci. She really did way exceed my expectations. I asked for a very regular pattern, and Kathy said that she didn't really breed for that. So I expected a zaggy-irregular beautiful Okeetee, and then she showed up-- exactly what I was looking for. She and Rog are going go make me some nice Okeetees someday, and who knows what else Rog might get up to. ;)

Great looking snakes Dean. Did you notice that Roger has eyes on the top of his head!

Thanks Mike. Yeah, the extra eyes improve his strike accuracy (he's got a bit of the Okeetee feistiness-- so does the female). :grin01: If iridescence is a sign of good health, I guess my collection is doing ok. Seems like half the pics I take have that sheen. I think it's cool, so I hope it's a good thing.

NICE Okeetee's Dean, they are gonna make some sweet babies for you in a few years :*)

Oooh, I hate it when they do that nudgy thing, the only thing worse than that is when they actually start to open there mouth up for a taste! Thats when I put them back quickly and go wash my hands a little better. Beautiful babies as always.

I just love the nudgy thing, it's funny!

A couple of days ago my yellow rat tried to eat my thumb (sideways fortunately and it was my fault) and though it was not really a pleasant feeling, after the first little adrenaline rush I just thought it was a funny sight!
