I picked up a group of 8 "PINK" snows & snow motleys from Don Soderberg (SMR) the other day... This little boy is defiently gonna be a keeper... he's really showing some color. There's a few nice looking gals in the group that have the pink background with green saddles... should grow into amazing looking adults!

WOW!!! don has really raised the bar on the pink snows! Way to go with the corn snakes, one of the Many "gems" you can show off in your collection!

Wow, I love it!! I am not a big fan of regular snows....but I do love the ones with the shock of pink color.

Thanks guys...it was a group of 5.3 (he was very male heavy)... I've picked out the 2.3 I'm keeping... These next few years I really think they'll be alot more interest in pink snakes. Once the red masque gene(s) are alittle better understood, things shoud pick up (ie what exactly is neon, coral, salmon, blushing, chanpaigne, etc are and are we calling the same gene different names or are there multiple different genes). I THINK there are multiple genes... Coral tends to make pink saddles... neon seems to work more on the background coloration...etc. Just thoughts... excited about the future...

Think about breeding the red masque gene(s) into different morphs to put an extra layer of color into a project... Just look at how it really evens out the BRIGHT RED of the Cayenne Fires compared to regular fires.

MAYBE the red masque gene will be the key in creating a RED on RED okeetee... I've been wanting to do that for years...red saddles...thick black borders...red background... that'd LOOK awesome...

I'd like to work with strawberries and lavenders from SMR stock someday. I found a high pink male snow and now I need some quality females and another male. I want to keep my initial colony small since I need the F1 to match up hets and I don't want to sell off my normals only to have the amel or anery keepers die before breeding age. The one gene I do not want in my collection is hypo. So much work is down splitting the strawberry from the hypo and then some breeders put them back together again.

Heck, in my pics above the animal looks peach colored where in real life he's a TRUE neon-barbie PINK...

I know what you mean, I said on one thread (don't remember which) that if someone walked in to some of our snake rooms they would never leave.
