4 new "tiny" Rhacodactylus

Menhir

Charmelippe
I finally decided to buy 4 Rhacidactylus leachianus leachianus since I'm going to finish my diploma thesis in about a week. I really like them, their look etc. they are much calmer than my cresteds and the size...hehe, I love these giant geckos.
For a comparison, I'm 198cm tall and the smaller one sitting on my finger is 4 weeks old, the bigger one is 6 weeks old. They are already bigger than my yearling cresteds.

Greetings
Michael

Oh you're so lucky! They must have cost you a pretty penny.

I saw a pic on a gecko forum and some girl had one on her that was as long as her forearm.

They are adorable, congrats on the new babies. :) Every time I think I'd like to try adding a different rhac, the crestie face suckers me in..

The adults are one of the largest known geckos - especially cause their tail is that short, not like the long tails of Gecko gecko or something. I hope that there is at least one girl in the group and that they will be as calm as their parents - angry geckos of that size aren't that fun. :)
And yes, I have currently 8 Cresties and I also thought it was time for some different Rhaco in the game.

Angry geckos of any size aren't fun! I was being tormented whilst trying to examine one of my juvies that had just shed.. It was determined to get me to let go at any cost. Those tiny pinches hurt! :grin01:

I once had to medicate a juvie crested girl. I always let her bite into my finger and she was totally calm after she was able to bite me. If I fixed her, she had her mouth wide open and was stressed a lot... thats at least the impression I got from her.
But I don't think that it does hurt much - when you had your first leachi between your own hands and you imagine THAT mouth biting into your finger.
:sidestep:
