will snakes not eat for long amounts of time because my snake usauly eats alot but he has not eaten for two or three weeks ive been puting him in a tub container in his container ive tried cutting the mouses head for scent ive tried this thing were you rub one mouse against a lizard that i read about on this site it did nt work but is there somthing were they will do that because most of all my dad fed him in the cage one day and he may of ate a wood chip thanks for replys
 
Two to three weeks is no big deal....some people only feed their snakes every two weeks...also, it is breeding season and it isn't rare, by any means, for a snake to go off food. As for feeding in the tank, that isn't good...it could be fine or it could have injested a wood chip. Time will tell, keep trying to feed on a normal schedule and make sure it is well hydrated. Although the non-eating is not unusual, if you are that worried about the possibility of injestion of a wood chip or any other problem, you should take the snake to a vet....if you are really that worried.
