Ok guys so I am about to clean my lil snakes cage (tomorrow marks a month together!!!!!)

Anyway what is the best bedding aspen right? Petsmart have it or do I need to find a cooler place to get it lol.

Also I want to get more stuff for him to climb on or play with (I know more stuff I have to clean I dont care) so any suggestions he has 2 hides (coconuts) and a tree in the middle that he likes to hide in every now and then but not play on.

So I want to get him something that he might be more prone to play with.

Also this is my biggest thing right here its kind of dumb but I think I read it somewhere on this site that someone made their snake a waterfall ever since then I have not got that out of my head. So guess what I want to do :shrugs:

WATERFALL!!!!!!! :crazy02:

So I checked petsmart (outrageous prices) and I didnt like any of their broken crap. So advice on this, is it ok to do this will my snake laugh at me will you guys laugh at me?

Thanks!!!

P.S. Love this site!

I've seen some very nice vivs with waterfalls in them. They take a bit of time and labor to make and keep going, but if you're willing to do it, go for it. As for aspen, I just use the stuff at Petsmart. I know other places have it in bulk, but for just one or two snakes, one bag of the Petsmart stuff lasts a while. For climbing, they sell those cheapo bendable vines at the pet shop. I've thought about getting some PVC tubing from Home Depot and making a sort of structure out of it and wrapping it with fake plants and stuff. Your imagination is the limit really.

THANKS!! You gave me a great idea dont think he will get stuck do ya? That would kind of suck hahaha!!!

Ok any links to waterfalls I googled it but came up with nothing that was *informational*

Just make sure you put end-caps on all the openings so he doesn't crawl up into the tubes. He might not get stuck, but he might not want to come out either.

You may want to check craft stores for fake plants your snake can climb in. They are often much cheaper than pet stores.

Use the search option up at the top :) Or poke around in the DIY section I know you will find some good info! Google is too general, searches the entire net according to their standards not yours.

I use the aspen from petsmart and have no problems and a a big huge bag is only like $13. I also use their fake plants for some of my reptiles but you can also use plants from craft stores.
