A few questions...

Hello everyone.
I will be traveling from Kansas City, MO to Baton Rouge, LA in a couple of weeks and I have to take my 4 snakes with me. 3 of them are really young and Liam is 2. How do I travel with them? Put them in container with paper towels? Also, I will stop overnight at a motel. I have very tinted windows in my car by the way.
Is 30%-40% ok for the humidity? Do I need to put some kind of box in there?
How do you know when to feed two pinkies or move up in the feeding?

Thanks,
Kim

Are you moving? Because otherwise the snakes can stay home unattended for a while with no ill effects. If you are moving then box them in escape proof containers like rubbermaid totes with holes. Leave the water bowls out because they might spill on the drive. Don't leave any animal in the car if the temps are high outside. They will cook. That includes meal stops and overnight. Don't leave them in the sun while driving either. I try to put boxes on the car floor to minimize movement and keep them out of direct light. Bring them into the hotel room or diner etc. if there is any question about it being too warm. You can give them their water bowls back at night when you are no longer driving. Good Luck.
Terri
