A method to catch an escapee. (mouse)

Among other methods you may have used in the past, here is a link to another: http://lifehacker.com/5451065/make-a-diy-no kill-mousetrap-with-a-toilet-paper-roll

1. Get a toilet paper tube and crease two lines to form a flat sided tunnel.
2. Put a treat on one end of the tube: A cracker and dab of peanut butter works great.
3. Get a tall (at least 20 inches) bucket. A trash can works well.
4. Balance the tube precariously on the edge of a table or counter with the treat hanging directly over the tall sided receptacle.
5. The mouse will scurry to the treat (they like tunnels) and fall into the trap.

Set the fella loose at least a mile away from your abode.

Postnote: It worked within the hour.

And, if you lack a counter, here is an alternative:

The only thing is, you will either be putting the mouse back where it belongs, or feeding it off instead of letting it go, lol.

Hope this can help someone! :)

hehe with five cats in my house, an escapee doesn't last long, unless I manage to get to it while Sam (my most excellent mouser) is still playing with it BEFORE she eats it. WHich is my preference, cause nine times out of ten, if she eats the buggers they get puked up on my carpet o_O puked up mouse guts isn't nice to clean up >.<

I think the only edit is that there should be a snake at the bottom with his mouth open.

Haha yes, put the snake in the garbage can and have him wait for dinner to fall from the sky.

Yuck, mouse guts. :puke01:

I tried feeding two f/t mice (that Fidel decided he didn't want when he got frustrated after not being able to find an end to start swallowing on one of them) to my cats and neither of them had any interest in them! Fat, spoiled house cats, lol.
