A new pair of Boots

Elder curmudgeon
These are a pair of Boot Key locality rosaceas, bred by Graham, that came to us via a circuitous route. The first one is the male, Lucchese, and the second is the female, Leddy. Neither one of them is particularly interested in eating on their own yet, so they get amputated mouse tails shoved down their throats every four days (and our adults get Manx mice). I put these here since the Powers that Be have declared that rosacea isn't really a subspecies, they're just a local flavor of E. g. guttata. Anyhow, we think they're danged pretty, and are looking forward to seeing them grow up.

Fer them of y'all what ain't boot-savvy, Lucchese and ML Leddy are two of the finest bootmakers on the planet. I only wear Leddys, and have for decades.
