Yes it can.... The snake will refuse to feed as it knows it will suffocate during the eating...... Well perhaps not suffocate, but certainly have difficulty breathing...
 
Before 2 weeks my snake made "click" sounds plus lots of sneezes so after a long story i went to vet where doctor didn't find any mucus or bumbles saliva but he recommended to keep an eye on him if he refuse to eat.

From Monday i didn't hear any sneeze plus yesterday he ate 3 small mice unfortunately he continues to do these sounds.


P.S all these began after his last shed.
