About Handling The Snake

Daniel
After all those things you have to do taking care of the snake, I think you can handle them right? but How much you can handle them before they feel uncomfortable, I mean, is it ok to handle them for long periods of time? letting them slither through my hand or I don't know, just handling them :)

When first starting out with a new snake..only handle them for a short period of time..gradually keeping them out longer over time..like first take them out for 15..then move onto 30..and so on and so on...snakes don't mind to be handled sometimes...on days their not in the mood to come out most of them will show it..also..I'm sure you know not to take them out for 48 hours after they eat, and when first bringing a snake home let it settle in for at least 5 to 6 days before taking it out to handle it...that's pretty much all the advice I can give.. :0)

P.S. when they are shedding it's best to leave them be until after they have shed since this can be a slightly stressful time for a snake...

Oh thx a lot and something else.... if they are hatchlings and a pinkie won't fit in their mouth what should I feed to my snake... hoppers?

You would be quite surprised just how much a snake can fit in it's mouth..a hatchling should be able to take a pinkie...If it is having a hard time you can cut the pinkie in half..though this isn't done occasionally...It is a way to get small hatchlings to eat..but it is kind of messy...try and see if the hatchling will take the pinkie whole first..you can even cut some slits into the pinkie to help it digest easier..(not in half, just little cuts along it's back or on it's head)..If the hatchling is having obvious trouble, or won't take it..then try half a pinkie..good luck

Hoppers...are bigger than pinkies. The food size should be no more than 1.5 times the width of the snakes largest part of its body. Its pretty cool too see a snake with small head take something down that big. Then afterwards when the have to realign the jaw...I think its neat!

Oh sorry, I thought hoppers were crickets hehe I'm mexican so my english is not too good but thx for telling me =P so pinkies are ok with hatchlings, thats great =)
