After Feeding

Hi All

I have been eduacating myself on corns through various websites, ( glad I found you guys ) most of them have conflicting statements on how soon after feeding you can handle your corn snake. Can I please get advice on how soon after he eats I can handle him. He is a juvenile, feeding him one pinky at a time, (weekly). That is also a question, some say to feed him twice a week, where we bought him from says 7-10 days. I brought him home on Tuesday Sept. 23 fed him that night, he was shedding the days before we got him, then I fed him again lastnight, Sept. 30, he had no problem eating. So again info greatly appreciated.

I typically keep any students from handling any snakes after feeding for two days. I've handled snakes right away after feeding, but nothing "aggressive" (meaning aggressive handling, not aggressive snakes). Obviously, anyone that uses a separate feeding tub (I don't) are going to need to handle them right away after feeding, so it's not ""that"" big of a deal.

I feed in separate tubs. It's not a big deal to handle them for 10 seconds to transport them from one tub to another, you just don't want to "play" with them.
