Is there any way to determine age? I purchased what I believe to be a norm at Petco and have no clue how old it is. It is 13" long and very skinny. I have only had it a few days and it ate a pinky on the first day.

Also, I plan to take it to a local shop to have it sexed, how old until I can start breeding? I am very interested in attempting this, and I have a lot of reading to do before I am ready, but just trying to get some basics out of the way.
 
I've never bred snakes, but if I recall correctly, the minimum age/weight for a female is 3 years and 300 grams. Typically the snakes I've ever seen at the chain stores are pretty young. If you've got a female, you definitely have a couple years to learn the basics and read up on breeding, and this is a great spot to start.

No,
just a good guess. A 3-4 months old. It all depends on how well it was fed and the genetic of the snakes.

If it is 13" long you can be sure it was born during the 2008 breeding season. That is about as accurate as anyone keeps track of age. Your's would be refered to as an 08
