Albino with lateral yellowing

I've had my albino corn, Skye, for about 5 months now, and she's recently (within the past three weeks or so) begun developing a bright yellow color running from her belly about halfway up her sides, all the way from her head to her tail. (I should probably mention here that I'm not sure what her gender really is; we've just always referred to her as a female.) I have no idea what this is all about; she displays no unwillingness to eat :)rolleyes: ) and is as investigative as ever when I take her out for a slither, so I'm not worried. I am, however, curious to know if this phenomenon can be traced to age (she's apparently about 3 years old) or temperature or presence of other snakes (her terrarium is currently situated between those of a king and another corn) or shed cycle. Any thoughts on the matter will be appreciated!

Hadrian,
Not all, but for most cornsnakes, this is quite normal. I am surprised that the yellow didn't show up much earlier than 3 years. As cornsnakes mature many cornsnakes get the yellow coloration your describing.

Interesting. My snow developed some yellow down her sides (from behind her head, down her body about 4 inches) when she was 4. She's now 9 and the yellow has completely faded so that she looks like a standard snow again. Must admit, I hadn't noticed it fading out ! I presume that she has a het somewhere along the way.

Cheers
Kel
