• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

All these special names...

Yah, that's an Amelanistic corn snake... I guess you could make up your own fancy name for an amel., but no-one would understand you.

The "fancy names" are meant to indicate a line-bred special look of the corn. If you randomly decide to start calling your amel an "orange sherbert" or whatever, you'll never be respected in the herp community. Special names are there for a reason. With experience, you'll be able to see the difference in the snakes.

Also, as a side note: If a breeder shows me a snake that they INSIST is an RO, but it just looks like a regular old amel, I probably wouldn't purchase any of their animals. Letting something like that slide, not knowing enough to tell the difference, or simply not caring are non-negotiables. It shows they have low standards. :shrugs:
