I bought a trio of rats today that are currently occupying a 20gL. One of the girls and the boy are black hooded, and the other girl (who is a little younger than the other two) is a lighter color, maybe blue hooded? She's the sweetest, which I attribute to her being younger. They are all babies, but it doesn't take them long to finish growing up. I love rats so much. The apartment we lived in when we first moved to Florida found out I had two male hairless rats and forced me to get rid of them or get out. Fortunately I had a friend to take them (if not, I would have moved out, lol.) But I've wanted more rats ever since we moved out. Now I have them. They're adorable, I love them. My snakes are on fuzzies, so I think they can handle rat pinks. The pet store is just so lacking, last time they had to eat multiple pinks (which cost me double) and today they were out (again, ugghh) so I caved and bought some ratties. I'm excited. I'm sure the two oldest are brother and sister, not so sure about the younger one, she seems to have come from a different litter, probably closely related anyway. At least I'm not basing their worth on their braincells, and their babies aren't going to be raised up anyway. As soon as my husband gets home and finds the digital camera I'll get pictures.

Yeah, adorable. With the yogurt drops, veggie dog biscuits, and seeds and nuts, they're fighting over one of the zillion lab blocks they have to eat.
 
cute rats. The smaller one looks like a black in that picture. Well you will have plenty of all black hooded litters.

Rat pinks start at like 6 grams so a snake on fuzzies should have no problems with the younger pinks. But they grow fast so be sure to catch them in time.
 
Awww they are so cute. I have a rat too only he is much older, and hes huge! They are such cute animals, they will even play with you when they are little :)
